Trying to position one ’s self above others in today’s job market can be daughting task. Companies continue to expand globally, expanding markets while trying to incorporate better process and more efficiency. The global expansion has not only opened up new customer markets, but it has also opened up the Human Resource pool. There is less and less regional positions, most professional level jobs are advertised throughout the nation if not globally. The internet has provided the opportunity to expand recruitment areas for companies and search areas for professionals. Companies on the internet started sprouting up that specializing in putting hiring companies with professionals and helping professionals find better fitting positions. One of the companies that came into business was LinedIn, a web based company started in May 2003. The goal of LinkedIn was to set up a social networking site for business professionals and the business community. â€Å"A LinkedIn member’s profile page, which emphasizes employment history and education, has professional network news feeds and a limited number of customizable modules† (WhatIs, 2016). Development As stated earlier LinkedIn and similar websites can bring business and employees together, but it can also bring together people that can help each other grow and develop in their positions. Over the last five million years, every aspect of East Africa’s landscape has undergone a peculiar change, creating a centrality of evolution in its region. Due to forces exerted by plate tectonics and a changing climate, East Africa has transformed from a depressed, arboraceous region to an alpine landscape that is strangely dominated by deep-water lakes that tend to appear and disappear consistently. According to the Huffington Post, it was from this particular area that â€Å"emerged an ape smart enough to question its own existence; (Maslin)† a clever indication that this area employed the rise of human beings. Approximately twenty million years ago, the Asian and Indian continental plates jarred into one another and impelled the Tibetan plateau to move upwards. In the midst of the heated summertime, this plateau acts â€Å"as a huge heat engine (Maslin)† as it absorbs solar energy that is later transmitted to the atmosphere; during this process, convection c urrents are created. With vast amounts of hot air rising, air from other areas are transported and sucked in, including moist amounts of air from the Indian Ocean â€Å"that produces intense South East Asian monsoons (Maslin)†. It is this transition occurring within the air that has drawn out the moisture from African and created a dry climate within the areas of its eastern regions. I used somewhat of a chronological order when It came to explaining the events In my daughter’s life but I do feel that I caked a bit In organization. . Introduction: The attention getter I used was Just me talking about why each one of us was taking the time to talk about something were passionate about and how my choice was a bit different than many others my age. I believe it was effective in setting the tone for the presentation. I did present the main points of speech but it wasn’t until after I introduced the subject. 4. Body: I feel I presented the information in a logical way and was able to keep everything together with the thesis. Since the topic of my speech/presentation was about my daughter, my original fear was to lose track into another subject since I felt I could talk forever about her. Conclusion: I closed my presentation with the title of my speech which was, â€Å"A little light shines a long way†. I felt it conveyed an important message of never giving up and persevering in life, which is relatable in many situations to many people. Delivery: Initially I was very nervous, so I started speaking very quickly, but as I progressed along, my speed slowed down because I became comfortable with my audience.
